A.M. Spaulding was raised in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood. "The Wild" 100's". As a kid, Anthony was a great athlete and excelled in school as a straight- A student and Valedictorian. Although he was book smart, he fell to the lure of the streets, joined a gang and was convicted of a felony at age 16.  Spaulding spent the next 27 years in prison, where he was transformed through spiritual awakening and education.  While he was in prison he developed his abilities and skills in the arts and as a barber.

Today, Spaulding is creative force.  He has authored three books and a one man show.  He is also an accomplished musician, poet, community advocate and a talented licenced barber.  He has performed at the Goodman theatre, Park Community Church, New Life COmmunity Church, San Lucas Church and for the Chicago Police Department.  His ultimate goal is to increase his audience through aditional plays and movies so that his story can reach at-risk youth across the country.
